          It was being held in Singapore from 12 to 20 June 1993 in 29 sports; namely archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, billiards-snooker, bodybuilding, bowling, boxing, cycling, fencing, hockey, football, golf, gymnastics, judo, karate do, pencak silat, rowing, sepaktakraw, squash, shooting, swimming – diving, table tennis, tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, sailing, weightlifting and wushu. Most gold medals were awarded to Indonesia with 88 gold, 81 silver and 84 bronze; to be followed by Thailand with 63 gold, 70 silver and 63 broze. Participated 8 member countries were Brunei Darussalam, Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia, Lao PDR., Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
