It was being held in Chiengmai, Thailand, from 9 to 17 December 1995 in 28 sports, namely archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, billiards-snooker, bowling, boxing, cycling, fencing, equestrian, hockey, football, golf, gymnastics, judo, pencak silat, rowing, rugby, sailing-windsurfing, sepaktakraw, squash, shooting-skeet and trap, swimming – diving – water polo, table tennis, tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, weightlifting and muaythai as a demonstration sport with a total number of 3,262 athletes. Most gold medals were awarded to Thailand with 157 gold, 97 silver and 90 bronze. Participated 10 member countries were Brunei Darussalam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. |
