It was being held in 3 cities, Manila, Cebu and Bacolod, from 27 November – 5 December 2005 in 42 sports, namely arnis, archery, athletics, badminton, baseball, billiards-snooker, bodybuilding, bowling, boxing, canoe-kayak, chess, cycling, dance sport, equestrian, fencing, football, golf, gymnastics, judo, karate do, lawn bowls, muay, pencak silat, petanque, rowing, sailing-windsurfing, traditional boat race, sepaktakraw , shooting-skeet and trap, softball, Aquatics (swimming, diving, water polo), squash, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, triathlon, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling and wushu. Participated were all 11 member countries. Most gold medal were won by Philippines with 113 gold, 84 silver and 94 bronze; to be followed by Thailand with 87 gold, 78 silver and 118 bronze, while Vietnam came third with 71 gold, 68 silver and 89 bronze |
