            It was being held in Yangoon, Burma, from 6 to 13 December 1969 with a total of 920 athletes competed in 15 sports; namely athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, cycling, football, gymnastic, judo, table tennis, tennis, sailing, shooting, swimming, volleyball and weightlifting. Participated 6 member countries were Burma, Lao, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Most gold were awarded to Burma with 57 gold, 46 silver and 46 bronze; to be followed by Thailand and Singapore respectively.
